The road less traveled in Ireland

Today Show feature on exploring "less traveled" parts of Ireland.

I can certainly relate to the driving style - in Ireland that is how I drive on rural roads (bothereens, in the Irish language - "little roads") - 50 miles an hour and "assuming that another car is not coming in the other direction".

I have been in Ireland several times, and it's one of my favorite countries.

The people are very friendly, and I like the atmosphere in the pubs and snooker-halls.

I was there for about one year ago.
This last time I was sent there on business, so I did not have much time over for the "tourist thing".

BUT, I found a very nice one-day trip from Dublin to Wicklow Mountains.
I really recommend this trip if you have a day over in Dublin.

Have a look at some photos and info at my blog:

Thanks Peter - you have some nice pictures of Glendalough there. And, as you note, we do indeed drive on the wrong side of the road :-)

Your blog also reminded me to write about my trips to Las Vegas - I've been to the Venetian a couple of times, it certainly is a surreal place. It's the opposite of Ireland in many ways (not least the weather) although there is a surprisingly good Irish pub in the "New York New York" casino there.
